Arty Girlz Challenge - Numbers

For the 'Numbers' challenge at Arty Girlz I created a collage with Fringe Elements stamps by Claudine Hellmuth and Distress Inks. I went for an aged vintage look by stamping the girl image onto textured paper and being really messy with my inks!

TMTA - Ophelia

The challenge this week at TMTA is 'Ophelia'. I don't have any Ophelia stamps so I used my 'rose' stamp from Stamp-It as I thought she looked a bit like a Shakespearean character. I stamped her with Fired Brick Distress Ink and blended the colours slightly with water, the skin tone was painted with tattered Rose Distress Ink and the background was stamped using Peeled Paint Distress Ink (the brown touches were doodled with an 'Apricot' coloured Pro Marker pen. I added a flower headband with tiny Prima flowers and brads and did some faux stitching around the edge. I don't like to think of Ophelia drowning so I thought I would have her dreaming instead!
Thanks for looking! Please leave your comments so I can come and visit you too!

Think Monday - Think ATC Challenge

Here is my ATC for the 'nature' challenge this week at Think Monday-Think ATC. This is my first time of taking part in this challenge :0) I decided to go for a stamped collage feel using lots of different stamps and different colours of Distress Inks. The main Owl image I think is Personal Impressions (I unmounted all my wood mounted stamps last year so I have to guess now!) I coloured him in a little with Distress Ink, outlined cartain parts like his eyes and feet and then added some white highlights with a white pencil.
I then decorated a larger square of card with background stamps and PaperArtsy stamps (Bird plate 2) and blended the Distress Inks with a water Brush, I then mounted my ATC onto my background.
I hope you like him! Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments on my blog so far! I'll be around tonight to come and visit all your blogs and if you have any challenges to recommend to me then please do!!

Arty Girlz Challenge - Clip Art

For the challenge at Arty Girlz this week you can use either Clip Art or Copyright free images on your project. I chose to use these Flapper Girl images which came on a collage sheet from Scrapz. I've been looking at them and stroking them for ages so I thought it was about time I got round to using them! I've used an Art stamp and heart stamp both from Hero Arts and these have been stamped with Frayed Burlap and Fired Brick Distress Inks. I even stamped onto the orange flowers to give them that collage feel, and added this all onto a HOTP decorative paper from the Heritage pad.
I've decided to set up this blog away from Becky's Happy Crafting Place as that blog is dedicated to cute, this is my more 'grown up' blog if you like!
Thanks for looking, I hope you come back and I look forward to visiting your blogs for Arty inspiration!
